This table shows the numbers of uniquely identified customers of The Legal Loyalty with personal characteristics by jurisdiction. The anonymous customers of the Loket are excluded from this. The total number of unique customers is higher, but the number is not known. Customers can have multiple contacts across multiple jurisdictions. The total number of customers is therefore lower than the sum of the number of customers within the underlying jurisdictions.
The Legal Loket Foundation was founded in 2004. At this independent foundation, every citizen can obtain legal advice through different channels, without any conflict of interest. From the summer of 2006, all 30 locations will be open. The Legal Office is financed by the Ministry of Justice and Security.
Since July 2011, legal seekers receive a discount on their own contribution if they first visit the Legal Office and are referred to a lawyer with their legal problem. In order to demonstrate the efforts made before Het Juridisch Loket refers a client to a lawyer, the legal staff must, among other things, record the most important personal data of all customers since 1 July 2011. Until then, more than 50 percent of customers remained anonymous when registering the service. As a result of this change, as of 2011/2012, a significantly larger proportion of the customers of Het Juridisch Loket can be identified and included in this table. Relatively, there are few changes in the characteristics of clients of Het Juridisch Loket.
