Tools; costs and Use 2010-2015

The figures in this table come from the Medicine and Devices Information Project (GIP devices) of the Zorginstituut Nederland (ZiN). This table was created for The State of Public Health and Care and contains data on the developments in the use of devices. This concerns care that is provided extramurally (i.e. outside institutions such as hospitals and nursing homes) on the basis of the Health Insurance Act, i.e. only the extramural aids provided are reimbursed from the compulsory basic health insurance. The use of devices can be broken down by: insured characteristics (age and gender), type of device (Monitor classification system). Output variables are total costs and numbers of users. This table has been discontinued, see in section 4 the link to the BIP database. The figures are also available there. Data available from 2010 to 2015. Status of the figures: Years 2010-2013 are final, 2014 and 2015 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive.
