TOP hoogteMD is a landscaping, digital elevation file of the Netherlands, manufactured in 1992 and consists for the most part of highlights that have been digitised from old altitude maps made by the then Netherlands Monitoring Service of Rijkswaterstaat (MD). These highlights were collected in the period 1942-1983. The client for the creation of this file was among others the Topographic Service. The file is no longer updated. The Current Height File The Netherlands is the successor to the Top HeightMD. The file is available as ArcView shape and DXF.
