Topographic Military Map 1850, net drawings

The field minutes for the Topographic Military Map (TMK) were made between 1836 and 1856 by officers of the Office of the Military Explorations with the aim of producing a topographic map for the whole of the Netherlands for the first time. The result of the explorations was elaborated in colour in a series of net drawings. These grid drawings form the intermediate link between the terrain work, the field minutes, and the map sheets of the TMK engraved in stone. These are published in black and white. The net drawings are the only colored version that is available landscaping. The grid drawings have been scanned by the Centre Geo-Information of Alterra and georeferenced in the RD system. The end result is an ImageFile of a grid drawing in geotiff format.
