This table contains data on tourist expenditure.
Tourism is not an industry in itself, but covers a large number of products and services supplied to tourists from different industries. The figures are consistent with the conceptual
framework of the National Accounts (NR) and can be compared with pre-existing macroeconomic figures such as gross domestic product, total value added and total number of jobs in
The Netherlands. The Satellite Tourism Account (SRT) thus provides an integrated macroeconomic overview of the importance of tourism for the economy.
The subjects distinguish between the characteristic services and non-characteristic services and goods. The expenditure is valued at prices excluding VAT.
The selection includes the different categories of tourist expenditure.
Two special categories of internal tourism are sustainable recreational goods and social transfers.
Data available from 2001 to 2011.
