This table contains data on the supply of tourist goods and services. Tourism is not an industry in itself, but covers a large number of products and services supplied to tourists from different industries. The figures are consistent with the conceptual framework of the National
Accounts (NR) and can be compared with pre-existing macroeconomic figures such as gross domestic product, total value added and the total number of jobs in the Netherlands.
The Satellite Tourism Account (SRT) thus provides an integrated macroeconomic overview of the importance of tourism for the economy.
This table quantifies the production and import of supplies to tourists. Tourist expenditure and offer are in balance: the internal tourist expenditure (excluding VAT) is therefore equal to the totals per product in this table.
Data available from 2001 to 2011.
Status of the figures:
The data for 2010 are provisional (further) and 2011 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive.
Changes as of 3 December 2013:
None, this table has been discontinued.
When will there be new figures:
No longer applicable.
This table is followed by Tourism; key indicators and Tourist spending, for left see paragraph 3.
