This table refers to the unemployment duration of the unemployed aged between 15 and 75. A distinction is made between the unemployed who are unemployed;
— 0 to 6 months,
— 6 to 12 months,
— 12 to 24 months,
— 24 months or more unemployed.
This makes it possible to determine the number of short-term and long-term unemployed. Short-term unemployed are 0 to 12 months unemployed and long-term unemployed 12 months or more unemployed. The figures in the table can be distinguished by gender, age, origin and level of education.
The duration of unemployment is the number of months a person is unemployed. This is determined on the basis of:
— the moment of search for work and
— the moment of termination of the last job.
The figures in the table are based on the Occupational Population Survey (EBB).
