Urban development plans currently in force in Arnhem

From 2001 the municipality of Arnhem (almost) made all its spatial plans digital at the source. This means that the paper version is derived from the digital source. As of 1 January 2010, the digital publication of spatial plans is even legally mandatory. From that date, all Arnhem plans can be found in the national facility www.ruimtelijkeplannen.nl. In addition, a total overview of all digital plans has always been available to everyone via systems of the municipality of Arnhem itself. Because over time national standards have appeared, part of Arnhem’s digital plans are before standardisation, and some of the plans after it. Therefore, the Arnhem digital zoning plans are divided into two datasets. The layer names contain 00 (old) and 08 respectively (new, as of mid-2008). The new set consists of 9 layers according to the Information Model Spatial Order (IMRO) 2008 or 2012. The structure of this is described in Figure 2 on page 8 of the ‘Practical Land Planning Directive’ (PRBP2012), available from Geonovum The attributes are largely the same as the objects described in the Practices Directive. The set for 2008 (low name contains 00) consists of seven layers that are partly similar to the objects described in the PRBP2012. The layers contain zoning plans that have been manually converted from a drawing package to a Geographic Information System (GIS), and data according to older standards (IMRO2003, IMRO2006). To the layers Single and Double Destination the attribute ‘Destination Main Group’ from the IMRO2012 has been added. In this, the old analogue destinations have been translated as well as possible to the current main groups, in order to make the imagination of both sets of zoning equal. For example, by applying the colours in the Standard Similar Destination Plans (SVBP2012). In addition, there is a limited number of plans that have not been digitised.
