Use of chemical pesticides in agriculture; 1995-2004

Figures on the use of chemical pesticides (plant protection products) in agricultural and horticultural crops. Since 1992, it has been CBS researched the use of pesticides in some of the most important arable and horticultural crops. CBS wants to this will meet a proven need. This need exists, among other things, from those of other government institutions and engineering firms (to for example, to calculate environmental indicators). The table contains figures on the annual use of pesticides per hectare per crop. Furthermore, the table contains data as total use per crop, sector-by-sector use and use across all sectors. Here are also the areas and numbers of holdings with use given. The study also collected data on alternatives to chemical control, such as mechanical weed control and biological methods of control.
