Use of plant protection products agriculture; crop and application, 2012-2016

This table contains figures on the use of plant protection products in agriculture. More specifically, this concerns the protection of crop production in arable and horticultural sectors. The figures are broken down by crop and type of application. In addition to the total amount of resources used, the use per hectare shall also be indicated. In addition, the table contains data on the number of farms using plant protection products and the area on which these products are used. The use includes the use by contractors on the farm (work by third parties). The use does not include wet ground decontamination (metam). The underlying codings of the classifications used in this table (cultivation sectors and crops) have been adjusted. These are now in line with the standard encodings established by the CBS. The structure and data of the table have not been adjusted. Data on the use of plant protection products by active substance and type of application and on non-chemical control such as mechanical and biological control methods are also known at the CBS. These figures can be found in three other tables, see paragraph 3. Data available from: 2012. Status of the figures: All figures are final.
