Inspire Utility Services is a European directive whereby Dutch network operators, with the exception of the telecoms sector, must make available all government-related geographic data files. Through public web services, all government-related geographic data files are made accessible according to INSPIRE specifications. The purpose of this Directive for public organisations is to make spatial data public according to European standards. Inspire ensures that good quality geo-information is available, findable and usable and that its content is aligned, even across national borders.
The Dutch network operators have agreed, together with the Ministry of BZK, that the data files become available for the topic of network information (‘Utility and Govermental Services — INSPIRE ANNEX III theme 6 utility and governmental services’) following an amendment to the Dutch Implementation Act INSPIRE with regard to identification of the applicant.
Via the Kadaster, KLIC service, a WIBON request can be made using the Mijn Kadaster portal. The data supplied with the WIBON application is based on the INSPIRE US data model with a supplement to WIBON requirements.
The WIBON deliveries are available with the following restrictions: application has been paid, an application has a maximum size of 2500 more at 2500 meters, the professional user registers with the Service, the occasional applicant identifies to the Service.
