The vacancy indicator is an arithmetic weighted average of vacancy indicators of industry, construction and commercial services. These (part) vacancy indicators are derived from various variables of the monthly economic studies conducted by the Central Statistical Office and the Economic Institute for Construction (EIB). The vacancy indicator gives an indication of the direction in which the vacancies are expected to develop by the entrepreneurs.

Status of the figures:
The published results are provisional for six months, after which they are declared definitive. Due to later information, the final results may differ from the previously published preliminary results.
Changes as of 12 August 2022:
The results for the month of July 2022 have been added.
When will the new figures come?
The next publication with the results of August 2022 is expected to be published in mid-September 2022.
