This table contains figures on sewage sludge from wastewater treatment plants of private companies. Private wastewater treatment involves companies and institutions that have their own treatment plant. These are mainly companies in industry, energy supply, water companies and waste management, wholesale and transport. Wastewater treatment results in a residual product, the sewage sludge. The quantity and destination of the sewage sludge released is shown in this table. The data can be divided into the following characteristics: — origin; — sludge species; — class of dry matter.
