Dataset description
KRW river basin districts of the Netherlands. River basin district is: the area of land and sea formed by one or more adjacent river basins with the associated ground and coastal waters, defined as the main river basin management unit in accordance with the Water Framework Directive. In the Netherlands we know the river basin district Rijn, Eems, Maas and Schelde. Source: www.aquo.nl 02 June 2014. The river basin districts are almost the same as for the first river basin management plans 2009-2015 except for a few minor changes from the border.
