This table provides information on quarterly developments in turnover
in the wholesale and commercial mediation industry. The results are
expressed in indices based on the year 2005, in
rates of development and in cumulative rates of development. The
data can be broken down by industry. The SBI’s are 511.
(Commercial mediation) and 519 (Other specialised wholesalers
and wholesale with a general assortment) not separately in the table
recorded. This is due to the lack of (reliable) figures. The
development of SBI 51 (Wholesale and Commercial Intermediation) is
includes the sbi’s 511 and 519.
Data available from: 2003-2008
Status of the figures:
All figures are final.
Changes as of 1 October 2009:
Due to respected information and retyping of companies, a number of
indices corrected. These are the branches:
— Wholesale and commercial mediation (sbi 51) for the first and
third quarter of 2007 and the first to fourth quarters of
2008;
— Wholesale trade of agricultural products and live animals (sbi 512) for
the first and third quarters of 2007 and the first to
fourth quarter of 2008;
— Wholesale trade in food and beverages (sbi 513) for the second
and the third quarter of 2007 and the first to the fourth
quarter of 2008;
— Wholesale trade in other consumer goods (sbi 514) for the third party
and fourth quarter of 2008;
— Wholesale trade in intermediate goods (not agricultural), waste and
scrap scrap (sbi 515) for the first to fourth quarters
of 2008;
— Wholesale trade services of machinery, appliances and accessories (sbi 518)
second and fourth quarters of 2008.
As a result, the corresponding (cumulative) turnover developments are
customised. Especially for sbi 515 this has led to an adjustment,
in the downward direction.
This table was discontinued at the end of 2008. The statistical study that
the basis of the results in this table is effective
a major change was made in January 2009. The Standard
CBS’s business classification (SBI) has been revised drastically. As a result, they are
figures from 2009 no longer comparable to previous years. The
CBS has therefore released a new table. See for more information
paragraphs 3 and 4.
