This table provides data on having a starting qualification for the labour market. Proper training is essential in order to successfully take the step into the labour market. The minimum training required for this is indicated by the term ‘starting qualification’. When young people leave school earlier, they are expected to have problems in the labour market. This applies both to finding a job and in moving towards better positions in the labour market. This publication displays data on persons with and without starting qualification. The data in this table are based on the Labour Force Survey (EBB). The EBB is a study carried out by CBS to collect information about the relationship between people and the labour market. In this context, characteristics of individuals are linked to their current or future position in the labour market.
Unlike other Statline tables containing data based on the EBB, this table has not yet been revised. This revision has to do with the introduction of a new weighting for the EBB. The data for the years from 2001 have been revised. This table will also be revised shortly, including the figures for 2007 and
2008 will be added. Until this is done, this means that totals in this table may differ from totals in other EBB tables. The figures in the revised tables are the correct figures.
Data available from: 2001 to 2006
Status of the figures
Figures based on the EBB are always final.
Change as of 10 January 2017:
Table has been discontinued.
Changes compared to the previous version:
This table has been discontinued and continued in a renewed table with/without starting qualification; characteristics. The reason for this innovation was a new weighing method of the EBB. Because of this new weighing method, all EBB tables have been stopped and moved to the archive. Instead, new tables were created. In these new tables, the figures with a new weighing method have been corrected.
For this table, the new weighting means that a number of figures can no longer be made in the same way as before. This is the case for the figures on disability, unemployment, job search and duration of current employment. From 2010 the unemployment rate is shown in the table <a

The figures on disability, job search time and duration of current employment are no longer reflected in the new version of table with/without starting qualification; characteristics.
