This table describes the proportion of the entrants in a given course of training to the public-funded scientific education institutions (WU) left the training without a diploma after one year. Propedeuse diplomas are not taken into account. This means that someone who leaves the course one year after influx with a propedeuse diploma is counted among the dropouts. The table shows all Bachelor’s programmes that fall within care and well-being. The figures can be further broken down by educational form, residential region and academic year. This table has been developed in the framework of the Labour Market, Care and Welfare Research Programme (AZW), see also paragraph 3.
High drop-out rates from wo-bachelor courses can arise if a relatively high proportion of switchgear students have been enrolled in these courses. Switch students are students who have completed a bachelor’s programme (higher vocational education or wo) and wish to move on to awo-master, but do not meet the entry requirements of this master. These students will be given the opportunity to eliminate their deficiencies through a switching programme. These switching programmes do not have a separate educational code and universities therefore enroll students on a regular training code. This has been happening for a long time, but from academic year 2020/'21 these students can also be identified as such in the education registrations. In the academic year 2020/'21, the following vocational education programmes in the field of care and well-being consisted of 10 percent or more of the influx of switch-in students: 56950 — B Movement Sciences, 55007 — B Clinical Technology (joint degree), 56553 — B Health Sciences and 56607 — B Pedagogical Sciences.
