This table deals with jobs of foreign-born workers aged 18 to 75. These jobs are broken down by migrant background of the worker, whether or not they are registered as residents, their gender, age, hourly wage class, contract type and industry.
For workers who are registered as residents in the population register, immigration to the Netherlands must be at least 18 years old in order to be counted. For workers who are not registered as residents, they must have been at least 18 years old at the beginning of their stay in the Netherlands in order to be counted.
The variable ‘migration background’ is taken as a background variable. As the population of workers born abroad consists of both residents and non-residents, the migration background cannot be derived for everyone. Missing data in this area will be imputed using information on the country where a person has his/her permanent residence and about a person’s nationality.
