Dataset description

This table contains figures on the number of employees in care and welfare on the last day of the quarter (and in December the last Friday before Christmas), classified according to the CBS Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). For the determination of the AZW industries, the main activity (SBI code) of the company where an employee works. This may not be the only activity that a company undertakes. In the main activity “Other social advice, community houses and cooperation bodies in the field of well-being” (SBI Code: 88999) account is also taken of the collective agreement under which the employee is employed. Workers falling under CAO codes 0004 to 0300 or under CAO codes 0302 to 8102 are classified under ‘Other Care and Welfare’. Employees falling under another collective agreement code are classified under ‘Social Work (Other)’. A complete overview of all CAO codes can be found under paragraph 3. This table was developed in the framework of the research programme Labour Market Care and Welfare (AZW). For more trends and developments in the labour market in care and well-being, see www.AZWinfo.nl (see paragraph 3). Data available from: First quarter of 2010. Status of the figures: All figures are provisional. As long as the figures are provisional, minimal differences can occur. Changes as of 18 August 2022: Figures for the 1st quarter 2022 have been added. Seasonally adjusted figures can still be adjusted to a small extent after the addition of a new quarter, each quarter the seasonal adjustment is recalculated. When are new figures coming? This table is supplemented by new figures every quarter.
