The figures presented are based on questions about labour conditions.
presently in the Permanent Investigation of Living Situation (POLS) of CBS. In the
module Health of POLS are questions from 1997 to 2004 about
working conditions included. To persons who are employed
labour force (persons aged 15 to 64 who are at least weekly
12 hours of paid work) have been asked questions about
working conditions and health problems that can be traced back to
excessive workload. These questions each year relate to
about 4,000 working persons.
This StatLine table shows the results of the control capabilities over
the work, the experienced workload and the valuation of materi%le and immateri%le
rewards. On the one hand, the control possibilities stand for control and
the responsibilities of workers and, on the other hand, for the
opportunities they have to have specific skills in the work
use and further develop. The workload refers to the requirements on
the work in terms of work pace, amount of work and time
get to do the work.
Little control, a lot of workload and low rewards are forms of
psychic workload.
