This table provides information on the number of persons up to 18 years who received Youth Care Plus during the year. Youth CarePlus, formerly called closed youth care, is a very intensive form of specialised youth assistance in which the youth is included in an institution. There is no legal minimum age for Youth Care Plus, but the target group consists of young people between the ages of 12 and 18. In special cases, Youth Care Plus can be continued until 21 years.
Data available from 2012 to 2014.
Status of the figures:
The figures for 2012 and 2013 are final and the figures for 2014 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data for 2014 will no longer be definitive.
Changes as of 27 May 2016:
— Figures for 2014 have been added;
— The table has been discontinued.
When are new figures coming?
As of reporting year 2015, the StatLine Table Youth in Youth CarePlus will be discontinued. Youth Care Plus was part of the Youth Care Act (2005). This law has been replaced by the Youth Act, with effect from 1-1-2015. As of reporting year 2015, all institutions covered by the Youth Act are obliged to provide data for the purposes of the Youth Policy Information. On this basis, CBS has created a set of new tables and all StatLine tables relating to the situation before 1-1-2015 are not continued.
