This table contains cumulative quarterly figures on the expenditure and volume of nursing and care for people who are still living at home (neighbourhood care), treatment of sensory disabled persons and first-line residence under the Zorgverzekeringswet (Zvw). The figures refer to both care in kind and care paid out of personal budgets. In the case of the treatment of sensory disabled persons and first-line residence, this concerns only care in kind.
The figures are based on declarations of realised care by healthcare institutions to health insurers and come from the Zorginstituut Nederland.
The figures in this table concern only accepted claims received in the current reporting period. Another table (see paragraph 3) shows figures of the total declarations, i.e. declarations received in and after the reporting period and (in the case of provisional and further provisional figures) still to be received.
Health insurers and healthcare providers have switched to comprehensive rates in 2017 and 2018, which they can agree on through the experiment funding nursing and care. Only a small part of the contracts are still based on the regular performance. As a result, expenditure on and volume of nursing and care decreased in 2017 and 2018, and other expenditure increased in these years.
Data available from 2015 to 2018
Status of the figures:
All figures shown in the table are final figures.
Changes as of 27 November 2019:
None, this table has been discontinued.
Changes as of 22 November 2019:
The figures for 2018 have been finalised, replacing the non plausible figure for the number of PGB holders with neighbourhood nursing in 2018 January-December by a point (i.e.: that figure is unknown).
When are new figures coming?
No longer applicable. The figures in this table cover only accepted claims received in the current reporting period. Declarations received after the reporting period and outstanding claims will not be taken into account. By the table 'Zvw district nursing and treatment; declarations’ and the tables under sub-theme ‘use Zvw’ (for figures on this, see the link in paragraph 3) gives a complete picture of all declarations.
