Dataset description

This dataset contains the as-is data from the BRO (basic subsurface registration) on formation resistance tests (FRD: formation resistance file) in the Netherlands. A FRD study is a monitoring activity where, over the lifetime, the apparent formation resistance is measured at a certain frequency using a measuring instrument in or at the groundwater monitoring pit. The apparent resistance is the total electrical resistance measured in the measuring range of the measuring sensor. The aim is to establish (the change) of the (relative) salinity content of groundwater in the subsurface directly around the location of the measuring instrument.
