Dataset description

The data set Kirkebygg — simplified is based on Kirkebyggdatabasen. From the database, a extract has been made that contains churches according to the church law and buildings consecrated for ecclesiastical use (chapters). The dataset contains this extract together with a selection of properties. As of 01.09.2019, the content is 2095 church buildings. Kirkebyggdatabasen is owned, operated and developed by the Church Employer and Interest Organisation (KA) on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs, which also finances the development and operation of the database.
