Dataset description

NVE’s due diligence map for flooding is a national dataset that at the overview level shows which areas may be exposed to flood hazards. The degree of detail on the flood response map is adapted to the municipal plan level (the municipalities’ overview planning), where it is suitable for use as a first assessment basis in impact assessments and/or risk and vulnerability analyses related to the municipal plan to identify areas of caution for flooding. The areas of care shall be used as a basis for determining flood zones and planning provisions.
