The data set shows installations with hazardous substances, i.e. flammable and toxic gas, substance and liquid.
The data is established by registration from the owners of the facilities. DSB therefore has little control over the quality of the location.
DSB makes this data available only to selected users within Norway digitally. This will in particular be users within land use planning, building case management and emergency preparedness. They only have access to data for their own district. The data can only be obtained by direct enquiry to DSB v/Lars Kjærstad.
The user agencies must commit to processing the data so that they are only available to users with a real need for the information. The data cannot be placed on open map applications on the internet.
DSB has an online solution, FAST, which requires a username and password and is made available to the same user groups as the vector data. Fast consists of a map solution with the dangerous substance data and a database with more information about the facilities. See the DSB website https://www.dsb.no/lover/farlige-stoffer/artikler/fast---anlegg-og-kart/
