The simple structure of the model makes it possible to conduct a number of different landscape analyses, such as testing hypotheses about aspects of landscape character and landscape changes. There are several presentation and analysis options, including analysis for grouping routes that have similar combinations of data values. By generalising information to the grid as it is done here, one gets an overarching data set where local details are deprioritised in favor of the overall trends.
