Potentially accessible beach zone areas in the beach zone are calculated based on terrain, road sections, railway sections, cultivated land areas, buildings and coastline. Annual data set from 2017 onwards. The data are obtained from various sources and processed into land use surfaces in Statistics Norway. Those surfaces that are not affected by technical interventions are considered potentially available for outdoor activities. The various surfaces also contain properties that refer to slope: small slope < 3, some slope 3-10, large slope 10-25 and very large slope > 25 degrees.
Potentially accessible beach zone areas are geographical areas that have a dynamic demarcation, and the number of flat objects and their outer boundaries will change over time depending on construction activity.
The flat objects are demarcated independently of the administrative boundaries.
