Route plan for bicycles

Data sets for use in route calculations for cyclists and pedestrians. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has spent considerable resources on the establishment of walking and cycling road data in the National Road Databank. The purpose of the data establishment has primarily been to improve the operation and maintenance of the walking and cycling road network, and through this project we want to make visible that the cycle road data in NVDB have great value in other applications. There is no official national data set that easily allows for digital cycle route planning, but NVDB data in combination with other data sources may form the basis for such a data set. Here is data from NVDB supplemented by trails, tractor roads and small stumps from Open Street Map.
