Cultural heritage — cultural environments

The dataset covers protected cultural environments, world heritage and national interests in the city.\\nFredete cultural environments are nationally important cultural environments that the Directorate for Cultural Heritage has protected under section 20 of the Cultural Heritage Act. They have as strong protection as other protected cultural monuments. world Heritage Sites are cultural environments that are listed on UNESCO’s list of protected cultural environments. The Directorate for Cultural Heritage proposes candidates for the list that are considered internationally important cultural environments.\\n\nNational interests in the city include cities and towns in Norway with cultural environments that have national interest. The areas do not have formal protection, but it cannot be excluded that some of the areas should be protected or that there are objects in these that may in the long run prove to be secured under the Cultural Heritage Act.
