Viser omtrentlig plassering av inntakspunktene til et utvalg vannverk. Eier av vannverket er ansvarlig for at koordinatene og øvrig informasjon er riktig. Punktene forsvinner fra skjermbildet når målestokken blir bedre enn 1:50.000. Dette gjøres for å skjerme mot for detaljert stedfesting. Punkter ute i Nordsjøen angir inntak av sjøvann for produksjon av drikkevann til de enkelte installasjonene på kontinentalsokkelen, dvs til petroleumsvirkomheten.
