The main objectives of these guidelines are:
Update and compile recommendations in previous national technical notes on noise maps;
Harmonising noise mapping methodologies in terms of base mapping and data
input, methods and options for calculation, validation of results, graphical presentation and digital format;
Establish a methodology for calculating, from strategic noise maps, the exposed population
