Dataset description

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and polychlorinated terphenyls (PCTs), generally referred to as PCBs, are chemicals that until the mid-1970s had extensive application in transformers, condensers and other electrical equipment. In the meantime, special attention has been paid to the environment in view of their pollution potential and are currently considered to be products with high hazard characteristics for human health and the environment, the marketing and use of which are subject to restrictions.
