Dataset description

The Maritime Protection Zone corresponds to the range between the boundary line of the seabed and the bathymetric of 30 meters, referenced to hydrographic zero, covering an extensive territory with great ecological, economic and coastal protection relevance.Assent in the differentiation of two homogeneous units, the Coastal Protection Range and the Complementary Protection Range, which recognise the existence of different degrees of vulnerability, functions in the coastal biophysical system and the importance of existing resources. For this reason, each of these units is covered by specific protection and safeguard schemes.
