REA 2004 — State of the Environment Report 2004

Supported by a long series of data, often taking as its origin the year 1990, the 2004 REA allows the careful study of the evolution of the State of the Environment in Portugal in the first five-year period of the 21st century. All of the selected Indicators have undergone some changes throughout the period marked, adapting to the descriptive requirements and the evolution of the thematic approach without, however, having moved away much of the concept initially developed by the OECD and later for the EU, more specifically through the so-called “Core Set of Indicators” from the AEA.
