SRUP — National Agricultural Reserve

Servitude and Restriction of Public Utility (SRUP) — National Agricultural Reserve (RAN), in force in mainland Portugal. RAN is the set of areas that, in terms of agroclimatic, geomorphological and pedological terms, have greater aptitude for agricultural activity. The areas of the RAN should be assigned to the agricultural activity and therefore, from the perspective of sustained use and effective management of the rustic space, are non aedificandi areas in which all actions that diminish or destroy the potential for the exercise of agricultural activity are prohibited. The cartography of RAN is elaborated at municipal level, being published in the respective Conditioning Plant of the Municipal Master Plan (PDM). The geographical information provided through the respective web services was produced by the DGT and other official entities, from information legally deposited in the National Territorial Information System (SNIT) concerning the delimitation of the RAN.
