Surveillance Report 2020

2020 was the most disruptive year of the last decades due to the emergence of the pandemic COVID-19.In Portugal, the challenges posed were serious but stimulating, revealing an ability to rapid adaptation and expressive resilience of people and organisations. The public service took over, on a scale in general, its main mission, corresponding to circumstances and the longings of the community. The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), as the main environmental Regulator, Responsible for Implementation environmental policy was no exception in the the need to undertake a gigantic effort of adapting to these new circumstances absolutely exceptional.
