The Legislative Elections 2019. Collection of contents for preservation in Arquivo.pt

On October 6, 2019, the Legislative Elections took place in Portugal. Arquivo.pt has launched a special collection of electoral content. We started by defining a list of search terms (keywords). Bing Search API was used to perform searches automatically. As a result, a list of the first results for each search term was obtained. The collection was carried out in two phases: — pre-election collection (1) — post-election collection (2) The recording of the content on Facebook and Youtube pages was done with the tools brozzler and Browsertrix. The reproduction of this type of content presents difficulties. For these contents the recording was made on an exploratory basis. More information The recorded contents were gathered in the EAWP26 collection. It has as cut-off dates 2019-09-30 and 2019-10-31 and a volume of information of 0.54 Terabytes (see https://arquivo.pt/collections).
