Dataset description

The topographic plan in digital format 1:2000 scale for Giurgiu County is based on the aerophotogrammetric flight of 2000, carried out with a Wild RC 8 camera and flight scale 1:7000. The entire digital work is done in a 1970 Stereographic projection system, in the 1:1 scale with the terrain. Any distance measured graphically, in digital format, is the actual distance, in meters, in the field. The plan on the 1:2000 scale is obtained by plotting the digital plan. Conventional signs were created in such a way that, on possible exploitation, they would be in conformity with the Atlas of Conventional Signs for topographic plans on a 1:2000 scale 1978 edition.
