Dataset description
The web map service shows a map work of the III military mapping at a scale of 1:25 000 from 1875-1883 and reambulated in the 20th century. 50s of the 20th century. The map documents were provided from the archive of the topographic institute in Banská Bystrica. The map sheets were scanned in 2007 at the Slovak Environment Agency (SAŽP) in Banská Bystrica with a resolution of 400 DPI shooting density in black and grey (grayscale) color depth in TIFF format. Raster map sheets were transformed into the S-JTSK coordinate system by the method of elastic transformation in 2016 in cooperation with SAŽP in Banská Bystrica, STU Bratislava and VÚGTK Zdiby.
