Transformation is a mathematical operation that ensures the change of coordinates from one geodetic system to another. Transformation parameters can only be derived empirically using identical points that have defined coordinates in both systems. Global or national transformation keys provide uniqueness when used and no different results are obtained when used by different users.
The relationship between the original implementation of the JTSK and the new realisation of JTSK03 of the S-JTSK coordinate system is expressed by the vectors of the coordinate differences defined in the plane JTSK03 at 670 identical points. In order to clearly define the transformation relationship between JTSK and JTSK03, it was necessary to express the coordinate differences in the shape of a regular grid and define the method of interpolation. To this end, the coordinate differences between JTSK and JTSK03 in the form of ellipsoidal coordinates on the Bessel ellipsoide 1841 for individual axes interpolated by the method of krigging software Surfer into the regular grid of the so-called grid with step 0,0168° (□) x 0.025° (λ), which were later converted into the NADCON standard
