The backbone of the cycling network in Maribor consists of 11 primary cycling corridors that connect Maribor with the surrounding municipalities. Corridors are designed by numbers from A1 to A11 clockwise.
The concept of the cycling network was conceived as part of the Cycling City project, co-financed by the Eco Fund and the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning with funds from the Climate Change Fund.
