Domestic Violence

The main purpose of the presented project is to analyse domestic violence in Slovenia with special emphasis at the level of social tolerance in relation to violence, the level of awareness and sensibility for this issue and the analysis of media discourse of domestic violence. The specific objectives of the project were: 1) Statistical analysis of domestic violence in Slovenia in the last twenty years and analysis of trends in movement; 2) Analysis of the general social climate in Slovenia in relation to domestic violence; 3) Analysis of media discourse and treatment of domestic violence; 4) Design of expert starting points and strategies for measures (addressing) and prevention of violence in family environments (emphasis on raising awareness and sensitising the public).
