Erar — Application to show how public money is spent in the Republic of Slovenia

The ERAR application is an online service that provides the general public, the media, disciplines and state authorities with insight into the transactions of public institutions and companies owned by the state and municipalities relating to goods and services, salaries, social benefits, pensions, subsidies, scholarships, etc. Public illumination of the flow of money between public and private bodies increases the responsibility of public office holders for the efficient and effective use of public funds, allows for an informed debate on accepted and planned investments, and reduces the risks of mismanagement, abuse of power and, above all, limits systemic corruption, unfair competition and clientelism. With this project, the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption opens a new paradigm for the transparency of the state’s actions and limiting corruption risks. The Erar application was created on the basis of the knowledge and experience acquired by the Commission with the application Supervizor, which is the predecessor of the Erar application. Thanks to its more modular structure, the new application provides more freedom in extensions and upgrades.
