The main purpose of the study Fathers and Employers in Action was to study the trends of paternity and paternity in relation to paid work. Research attention was given to
three aspects: the caring role of working fathers in family life, the aspect of paid employment and the possibility of reconciling paid work and caring for children. In addition, research attention has also been paid to
different forms of employment, in particular those employed in precarious and managerial positions, and the possibility of reconciling these two spheres of life. For this purpose, an online survey was carried out on a sample of 489 fathers from Slovenia.
The data file contains retrospective data on paternity and parental leave for the period 2003-2015. In 2003, paternity leave was introduced in Slovenia.
