Dataset description

In the context of a set of questions on prosperity in Slovenia, we examine how the population of Slovenia is experiencing today’s economic situation: how they see their material standard, how they live on their own and how they generally live in Slovenia, we have progressed or regressed and what the future should bring. It also looks at the extent to which social inequalities exist between people today and the fear of losing their jobs. At the same time, of course, we cannot pass the small part, where it is checked to what extent people would participate in the referendum on 10 April and what outcome can be expected. We were also looking at the fate that the pension legislation would be waiting for in the referendum. During the current events, it is also checked whether the Thaler affair, according to the people, put only him in a bad light, the client he represented, or the whole of Slovenia. Important shifts in party preferences are also observed, which give Slovenian (non-)trust to existing parties and governments a new dimension. In the light of this, the attitude towards possible alternatives, which has been repeatedly referred to lately, is also being examined. Among them are the more active roles of Milan Kučan and Forum 21 as well as the replacement of the current Prime Minister with Commissioner Janez Potočnik.
