Social Support of the Student Government of the University of Ljubljana (1992)

Based on theoretical and empirical insights, network generators were created to measure the theoretically justified dimension of social support — the content of the network generator for measuring information support was adapted to the characteristics of the experimental group — members of the student government of the University of Ljubljana. A complex experimental plan was designed to find factors that influence the quality of social support measurement using a survey questionnaire. The experimental design included three different scales (binary scale, eleven degree orthodoxy scale and line length rating), two data collection techniques (listing and memory listing), giving and receiving social support (basic questions — acceptance and reciprocal questions — giving support) and time between consecutive repetitions of measurements (20 minutes).
