The aim of the study was to check the prevalence of smoking in the public and awareness of the harmfulness of smoking. The research areas specifically highlighted the amount of smoking (number of cigarettes smoked per day), smoking premises (home, work, social environments, etc.), passive smoking and the impact of smoking on health. The impact of smoking on children’s health is particularly highlighted. Research can be very suitable as a theoretical basis for larger research, e.g. in health care.
