The research is the result of collaboration between researchers from Yugoslavia, Hungary and Poland. Its purpose was to identify the place of television in the context of other cultural activities. The aim of the research team was to reveal the patterns of cultural behaviour of owners of television devices and to determine whether they were significantly different from the population without a television set. The aim of the survey was also to determine when and under what circumstances respondents watch TV and which they like the most. In addition to the above, researchers were also interested in whether the owners of television sets differ from non-owners in terms of social status.
