The Open Data

As part of the Open Data project, an overview of the state of the care of research data in Slovenia was prepared. Problems, processes and solutions at different stages of the life cycle of creating, evaluating, storing, publishing and using research data have been identified. The experiences and specifics of different actors in different institutions have been used to draw up the national plan and conclusions in this area. The research of the problem has been linked to the different phases of research data and the actors involved. To this end, 22 interviews were conducted with Slovenian experts from different scientific fields, who are creators, administrators or users of data, and interest was focused on what potentials are in the future. In addition to identifying the situation in Slovenia, one of the fundamental objectives of the first phase of the Open Data project was the attempt to identify the attachments of a future, more sophisticated system of access to research data.
